Acceptance

By browsing this site or requesting an estimate, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site. Formal audit engagements are governed by a separate letter of engagement that prevails over marketing copy on this site where the two differ.

Services described

Pages describing expense audits, invoice reviews, policy assessments, and readiness work are informational. Fees, timelines, and sample sizes become binding only when confirmed in writing after scoping.

Intellectual property

Site text, layout, and branding belong to SmartDataLab. Findings packs and working papers produced under an engagement belong to the client as set out in the letter of engagement, while our methodologies and templates remain our property.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the site to attempt unauthorised access, scrape content at abusive volumes, submit malicious files through forms, or misrepresent your identity when requesting services.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of Taiwan, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from site use. Professional liability for paid engagements is limited as stated in the applicable letter of engagement and applicable professional standards.

No statutory audit opinion

Unless a letter of engagement expressly states otherwise, our work does not constitute a statutory financial-statement audit or assurance opinion under Taiwanese law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Courts in Taipei shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from site use, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
